To protect, preserve and grow chiropractic requires a strong educational institution, one that is well resourced and offers students and the profession the best chiropractic education possible.
The New Zealand College of Chiropractic is a beacon of hope in the chiropractic world. We invite you to join us in what is a vital journey. Why? Because our profession's future is at stake. Our success to date is the direct result of all the people who have joined in this journey: students, faculty, staff, supporters, donors, you.
The journey continues. . .
The Benefits of Giving
For individual donors,
the benefits are often very personal and intangible - the good feeling
of having done something significant and valued, remembering a loved one
through a named association with a special area of interest, or setting
a challenge for others to aspire to.
The Trustees, in
conjunction with the College, offer a wide range of benefits to those
who
support the College, including:
Publicity (if
desired) of the names of all contributors, partners and sponsors in
College publications as may from time to time be appropriate
Invitations to
exclusive gatherings with the President and other senior members of the
College for those making bequests or other donations
Special
certificates of appreciation from the College to contributors to
specified and approved campaigns
For corporate and
business donors, the opportunity to meet leading researchers and faculty,
and access to international expertise
A key to
ongoing Alumni support is the experience our graduates have as students -
the quality of teaching, the campus life, the facilities and services
available and the student experience.
You can make a gift to the College in many ways either through our long term gifting programme the Tua Iwi Foundation, by a one-off gift, or by bequest.

Bequests
One of the most
powerful ways of creating a better future for chiropractic education in
New Zealand is by making a gift in your will. This is called a bequest
(or legacy). A bequest is a unique gift which
reflects your own vision for the College’s future. Giving
by bequest costs very little now, yet it gives a great deal of
satisfaction to know that your future gift will live on.
There are numerous
options for dedicating your bequest, from student scholarships, capital campaigns and naming rights
on buildings, through to supporting research.
Providing a scholarship
or prize in your name, or in the name of someone you choose to honour,
establishes a wonderful living memory.
Bequests can be made to
fund teaching or research or to help the College purchase expensive
resources.
If you wish to make a bequest please contact Lisa Du Fall.
Tax
Deductability
What are the tax
benefits of making a gift?
As of 1
April 2008, gifts of money by New Zealand resident taxpayers to a
charity will receive exceptionally favourable treatment: namely a 33 1/3
% rebate on any gift (up to a limit of total net income for all gifts
in a given tax year).
For
example, if a donor makes a gift of $15,000, it costs the donor only
$10,000, once the $5,000 rebate is taken into consideration.
Tax deductability can be arranged for most countries of residency where a donor wishes to make a bequest or gift to the New Zealand College.
