Accreditation
New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA)
NZQA regularly audits all technical and private education institutions in New Zealand. The audit is aimed at obtaining reasonable assurance that New Zealand College of Chiropractic (NZCC) is a sound and stable provider, has effective quality management systems in place, and is substantially achieving its goals and objectives as required by Quality Assurance Standard for Private Training Establishments, Government Training Establishments and Wānanga (QA Standard One). The results of this audit contribute to the decisions made by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) to confirm ongoing registration and accreditation, and the length of time until the next audit.
The most recent audit in 2009 confirmed that the New Zealand College of Chiropractic is a sound and stable provider and is meeting its goals and objectives. The College is in a confident phase of its development, and its carefully planned
expansion over the last few years is producing positive outcomes. The organisation is providing a supportive and effective learning environment for its students and the wider chiropractic community.
The most recent NZQA audit can be seen here.
Council on Chiropractic Education Australasia (CCEA)
The
Council on Chiropractic Education Australasia Inc (CCEA) is an
independent and nationally recognised body
responsible for ensuring competency and high education standards in chiropractic for the Australasian
community.
The New Zealand College of Chiropractic accreditation with CCEA can be seen here.
CCEA assists
with the provision of safe and competent chiropractic for the Australasian
community by inspecting, accrediting and continually monitoring entry level chiropractic programmes in Australasia. This is a skills recognition process and assessment for chiropractors trained outside of Australia and New Zealand for migration and work visa eligibility. Successful completion of this process allows eligibility to apply to the relevant independent authority for registration in Australia and New Zealand.
