Student Loans and Fees

New Zealand College of Chiropractic Course Fees

Tuition fees for Domestic Students are NZ$15,800 a year.
Tuition fees for International Students are NZ$25,000 per year.

Please note the New Zealand College of Chiropractic does not offer domestic or international scholarships.

New Zealand Chiropractic Students Association (NZCSA) Fee

Membership of the New Zealand Chiropractic Students Association (NZCSA) is NZ$35 per year. This can be paid during Orientation week. Joining the NZCSA is great way to make sure your voice is heard, to enjoy great discounts at College events, and to get financial support and advice when you need it. The NZCSA exists to help you and to make your experience at College even better.

Additional Course Costs

You will incur some additional course costs for textbooks, course materials prepared by the College, the Chiropractic Centre Manual, special clothing, physical examination equipment and travel, plus any other charges for services provided by the College.
We recommend allowing around NZ$1,000 per year for course related costs.

For an indication of what you will need to buy, please download an example Orientation Form which lists items you may need for Year One, and also the book order form for Semester One and Semester Two. Please note these costs are a guide only and may be subject to change.

Student Loans

  • New Zealand and Australian students may be eligible for New Zealand government loans and allowances while enrolled at the New Zealand College of Chiropractic. We recommend that prospective students contact StudyLink for more information on loans and allowances, as eligibility and the actual value of loans and allowances are subject to change.
  • Australian students are eligible for a loan after two years of study and/or residence in New Zealand. Australian students who are not eligible for a student loan, can split their fee payments into quarterly instalments. That means paying for each semester in two parts. Please inform us if you are considering this payment option so that we can ensure you have all the details you need.
  • New permanent residents (any nationality) are eligible for student loans after holding permanent residency in New Zealand for two years.

US Financial Aid

The New Zealand College of Chiropractic is accredited by the US Department of Education to administer the US Direct Loan Program (US financial aid) to US citizens or eligible non-citizens who are:

  • Enrolled at least half-time, and;
  • Are making satisfactory academic progress, and
  • Are not in default on a grant or loan.
  • Loans that are available are Direct Subsidized, Direct Unsubsidized and Direct GradPLUS loans.
There are a number of other programs including Pell Grants and Perkins Loans that may be available under the same US legislation of Title IV. However, these cannot be awarded to students studying outside the United States. Eligible students may, however, defer the repayment of these loans while attending New Zealand College of Chiropractic.

For more information on US Financial Aid, please contact the Admissions Officer.

Student Fee Protection

The New Zealand government has a student fee protection policy to protect student fees. All student fees are deposited into an independently managed trust account: Cockcrofts ATS Ltd – New Zealand College of Chiropractic Student Fee Trust Account. The College withdraws from this account on a consumption basis, monthly in arrears.
