Dr Eric Russell, DC, DPHCS - President

Dr Eric Russell is the fourth president of the New Zealand College of Chiropractic and is widely considered one of the innovative thought leaders of the chiropractic profession.  Dr. Russell obtained his chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1996 and is the first Diplomate of Philosophical Chiropractic Standards (DPhCS) to be named as president of a chiropractic college in the profession’s history.

Because of his emphasis on service to the profession, and his passion for developing clarity around the detection and correction of vertebral subluxation, Dr. Russell has received numerous professional and teaching awards for his service in chiropractic.  Some of his prestigious awards include induction to the Palmer College of Chiropractic Great Hall of Philosophers, Parker College of Chiropractic Faculty of the Year, and Chiropractor of the Year for both Illinois and Texas.  Through his passion for chiropractic, combined with his experience in chiropractic practice, chiropractic academia, as an international speaker, published author, and experience in chiropractic politics makes him one of the profession’s leaders for today and for the future.  Dr. Russell strives to inspire chiropractors to be the best they can be at the philosophy, science and art of chiropractic.

Carole Booth - Administration
Carole is from England and came to New Zealand with her husband and family in 1983.  She has served for many years in the reception/administration area of many fields including the educational sector.  Carole enjoys family life and the important part she can play in her grand children’s lives.








Helen Bennett -
College Librarian

Helen has been the College librarian and information guru since 2002.  She is enthusiastic about creating a great resource for the College and the chiropractic community. Helen was previously Access Manager at Sylvia Ashton-Warner Library and is currently working on a Masters degree. Helen lives on a very small farm in the Bombay Hills with her  husband and cats, breeding Boer goats, raising steers and optimistically planting trees that mostly get eaten. 





Dr Kanwal Singh - Dean of Basic Sciences
Dr Singh is a graduate of Delhi University and joined the College in 1999 after working in India and Malaysia as a general surgeon. Dr Singh also serves as CEO of the World Spiritual Foundation and is an executive member of the Auckland Inter-Faith Council. He conducts regular seminars in Vibrant Celestial Meditation, stress release, prevention of aging and cancer and carries out NAAMI RI healing.





Dr Pieter Kachelhoffer - Vice President Academic Affairs
Pieter has a Doctors degree in Education with specialisation in curriculum design and development. He has over 30 years of experience in education in four different countries. Pieter came to the NZCC as an accomplished manager on senior level. He was the CEO for two different private education providers in New Zealand, chair and dean of academic departments at universities  in South Africa and the United Arab Emirates and most recently Deputy Vice Chancellor of a university in Malaysia. Pieter has an extensive list of publications, presented research papers at numerous international conferences and acted as research supervisor for master and doctoral students.



Dr Marina Fox - Dean of Clinical Education
Originally from a small town in Northland, Marina studied at Otago University and graduated with a BSc in physiology. She went on to get her BSc from the New Zealand College of Chiropractic in 1999. Marina also runs a pediatric chiropractic practice. “My passion is to see generations of pediatric patients and teach generations of students to help them fulfill their lives through chiropractic.”



 


Nadesan Nanthakumar - Business Manager
Nadesan is from Sri Lanka, living in New Zealand since 1995. He possesses multidisciplinary skills and has a Bachelor in Mathematics and Master in Business Administration and Economics. He also holds a professional qualification in banking and Finance. Nadesan is a good team player with a positive approach. He spends most of his leisure time with his family and kids.




Tanya Kuroch - Accounts Assistant
Originally from Russia, Tanya has lived in New Zealand since 1999. She has had a few career paths but has always been interested in science and education. She currently works in the College's Operations Department as Accounts Assistant. Tanya has a PDip in Professional Accounting, a BEng, a PhD in Physics.

Renata Stent-Leimer - Research Department Manager
Born in Switzerland, Renata has lived in New Zealand for thirty years. Renata is married with two adult children and has been at the College since February 2009. Before that she was in the watch and jewelery industry. In her free time she flies small planes, enjoys the great outdoors by tramping and snow skiing, and spends a lot of time entertaining and enjoying friends and family.

Frances Billot - Academic Manager
Frances has a PhD in Classics and has worked in tertiary administration for a number of years. Her hobbies include gardening, enjoying family time with her children and grandchildren, tramping and kayaking.

Louise Dexter - Registrar
Louise is a born and bred Kiwi and joined the College in 2011. She has worked in Administration, Customer Service and Accounts before and particularly enjoys her role as it incorporates all of these facets.  Louise enjoys walking and spending time with her teenage children.

Bhavna Keshav -
Academic Administration Assistant
Bhavna has been working in administration for a couple of years, her first administration role being at the College part time back in 2007. Bhavna came back to the College in 2011 when a full time role opened up. In her spare time, Bhavna loves to spend time with her partner and working on cars.

Sarah Rowland - Human Resources Advisor 
Originally from a small town in Taranaki, Sarah joined us in 2010 after a few years caring for her young children.  Sarah’s most recent role in Human Resources was with an Investment Bank in London and prior to this worked in Wellington.  Sarah loves being back in New Zealand and makes the most of the great outdoors with her family.

Gemma Angus - Student Services and Events Officer 
Gemma joined the College in 2010. Having moved from the UK in 2005, she graduated from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Philosophy and then turned to events and has just completed a Diploma in Event Management at AUT. Gemma loves that she is able to continue to study philosophy at the College. 


Chanelle Kerr- Admissions Officer
Chanelle has held a variety of youth and community development roles including Youthtown, Auckland City, the YMCA and spent 10 years in Student Services at AUT. She is excited by the challenge of being new to chiropractic and admissions, and loves to spend her time hanging out with her husband and two girls watching far too much TV.




Lisa Du Fall - Development Officer
Lisa moved from Wellington to pursue a career in Chiropractic. After working for Funnell Family Chiropractic and attending her third Lyceum in 2009 she realised her desire to make a difference and started studying the prerequisite papers for the program. When she saw the role of Development Officer come up at the College despite it being on a different path, she knew it was a great way to make that difference. Lisa thinks the best part about the role is meeting incredible people from all over the world who share her belief in the power of chiropractic.

Sarah Bennett - Marketing and Communications Officer
Sarah is from the UK and has spent the last five years working for charitable organisations in London, most recently for an international language school. She is enjoying being back in the dynamic learning environment of a College here in Auckland, and meeting students and staff from all over the world.
