In Memory of Dr Reggie Gold: A ChiropracTIC Icon
The New Zealand College of Chiropractic is deeply saddened by the passing of a chiropractic icon, Dr Reggie Gold. Reggie passed away peacefully on Saturday 24th March 2012 in Pennsylvania. He was in his mid eighties.
Reggie dedicated his life to teaching and strengthening the philosophical understanding of chiropracTIC. He inspired generations of chiropractors and students with his unwavering commitment to the effective communication of the value of chiropractic care.
"Reggie was a legend in chiropractic. His simple but eloquent articulation of what chiropractic IS has inspired many to become patients of chiropractic and students of chiropractic.
In his passing we have witnessed the falling of a big tree in chiropractic but the seeds that have been sown during his time will endure forever. We have lost a wonderful friend and great colleague and cherish the times we have spent with the great philosopher."

Reggie’s passing is felt keenly at the New Zealand College of Chiropractic where his vitalistic principles were particularly congruent with our mission and values. A much loved member of our chiropractic family, he would regularly make the long trip to New Zealand to share his wisdom at our annual Lyceum.
Reggie was also a familiar sight around campus; chatting to students, sharing ideas and putting a smile on everyone’s face. We are eternally grateful for those opportunities and appreciative of the lives that he touched.
