Welcome to the New Zealand College of Chiropractic Research Webpage. The aim of our research department is to contribute to the knowledge base of the chiropractic profession and through this improve chiropractic education and clinical application. Our research department is achieving this by encouraging, facilitating, and overseeing all research activities undertaken by New Zealand College of Chiropracticfaculty and senior students. In addition, we are building collaborative partnerships with external bodies and researchers.
At the New Zealand College of Chiropracticwe are actively engaged in research in a broad range of topics including, neurophysiology, pediatrics, geriatrics and chiropractic technique. Feel free to look at work already published by our faculty and/or students.
We also welcome donations to the Research department to continue in our important work.

CHIROPRACTOR OF THE YEAR 2008 - Dr Heidi Haavik Taylor
At a dinner in Rotorua on 17 May 2008, Dr Heidi Taylor was named the NZ Chiropractor's Association Chiropractor of the Year.
Dr Taylor is a graduate of the college, and the Director of Research. She is leading the development and expansion of the colleges Research Department. Over the last year the Department has attracted Research grants over $100,000, and built a new research lab.
Dr Taylor was the winner of the US ACC-RAC 2008 Basic Science Researcher of the Year and was third place in the World Federation of Chiropractic research competition in Portugal in 2007. College President Dr Brian Kelly acknowledged her achievements by saying "Dr Taylor is truly world class and leading the understanding of chiropractic and the nervous system. This Award is very well deserved".
